At Ema, excellence goes beyond expertise. Our interview process looks at not just what you can do, but how you think, collaborate, and create impact. Week 1 carries that forward: you'll experience our culture firsthand and ship your Week 1 Starter Project - a real first step into building the future of work with AI.

Understanding the Ways of Working at Ema

By the end of your first month, you are no longer finding your feet - you are contributing. You have completed your core certifications, mastered our tools, and built the relationships that will define how you work here. You have a clear view of working@ema, managing@ema, culture@ema and your priorities, your teammates, and the customers or workstreams you are beginning to own. You have posted your first Snippets, run your first real work through Claude Cowork, and understand how Ema operates day-to-day. Most importantly, you have started making a measurable impact - not just learning, but doing.

Creating Impact Across Teams

At three months, you are no longer ramping - you are owning. You have moved from learning the system to shaping it. You are driving your core workstream independently, contributing meaningfully across teams, and bringing ideas and energy to the problems that matter most. You understand our customers, our product, and our culture well enough to operate without guardrails. The people around you have noticed.

Lead with Ownership

Six months in, you are a core part of what makes Ema work. You bring judgment, not just execution. You identify problems before they are raised, propose solutions before they are asked for, and take ownership of outcomes - not just tasks. You have helped shape something: a product, a process, a pipeline, a team. The extraordinary thing we are building here has your fingerprints on it.
